MUSIC SUPERVISING

Need help finding and licensing the perfect soundtrack for your film or production?

Music supervising is an essential part of all films and visual productions. A great looking film is nothing without the right music. Circle Time Studio can source and licence music, produce original scores or produce cover versions of hard to licence popular songs for your film, trailer, TV, documentary, short, advert, VR production or video game.

With a comprehensive knowledge of music and how it impacts the visual medium, our experienced music supervisor Travis Collins (pictured above) helps you achieve your vision by creating the perfect soundtrack, while keeping your production and licensing costs to budget.

Music evokes and influences viewers emotions

Music licensing is no walk in the park. There are multiple layers of rights for every copyrighted song so you need to clear rights for the musical composition and the sound recording in negotiation with a maze of artists, managers, labels, publishers and lawyers, draw up contracts, set terms of use and negotiate licence fees agreed by all relevant parties. You also need to ensure all sync royalties are distributed after use.

Most major label releases have 3-5 publishing companies owning a percentage of a song recording rights. If the band has 5 band members and a label manager, there will be 10 or more people involved in the negotiation to license one song. Sometimes just finding a contact for one of a song's rights holders can send you down a rabbit hole for months.

The Circle Time Studio team have an extensive knowledge of licensable major label and independent music. We have an established relationship with labels and partner with a network of soundtrack composers and independent musicians worldwide. With Circle Time Studio on board, you won’t need to rely on poorly produced library music or overheard sync catalogues. We have an ever growing catalogue of licensable original, unique and undiscovered songs ensuring your film or production soundtrack will have a lasting impact.
